FYI you can "date" sw in Thailand. You just have to pay for it. It's another "service" they provide.

Someone pasted an ad here for this type of service. It’s why no one is buying these semantic games he’s playing. These “rent-a-date” services end the same way as the classic solicitations, right? Money is paid for the service and he sees the same sex worker on several “dates” for how many he pays for. There’s sex at the end of it either way. No one’s paying for someone to pretend to be charmed by your advances, not even someone as pathetic as Lloyd. I’d imagine this service is geared towards men with low self-esteem or ones who have been especially unlucky with ladies (Lloyd) so it makes the whole sex-for-hire experience somewhat more palatable. I’m sure if he pays the higher tier he’ll even get a letter supposedly from the sex worker afterwards saying they are so into him and are awaiting his return.

The Lloyd Evans Parody account has pasted snippets of this email to Dijana more than a few times on Twitter. He was trying to excuse his Thailand behaviour and save his marriage, so we got to see Lloyd in the negotiator role in a bid to stop his wife from divorcing him. His compromise was to come off the dating apps and see a sex worker in Zagreb every 2 or 3 months.

Classic abuser tactics, promise whatever just to halt the divorce and then return right to it once they feel safe again. Watch “OJ: Made in America”. Placing the double murder aside, OJ pulled the same shit when his wife was close to leaving.

For a decade now people have been taking your advice and “letting it go” and “people will figure out the real Lloyd on their own!”. I left for probably a period of 3 years or so only to find out he was still abusing people and finding more victims. Same similar story and a tonne of people saying they didn’t know he was this way. Oh, and he just paid for sex in a country known for exploited, kidnapped and trafficked women with the money he was collecting from exJWs.

So it is our problem. If he can call Tony Morris out for buying expensive scotch for over a year we can definitely afford to kick this asshole to let him know he’s not welcome.

And fuck me, that familiar nasal monotone always came up when you entered in something JW related on YouTube. It’s almost like Noel and Liam Gallagher had an annoying and overweight brother who was even more of an asshole than either of them.

It’s 2023 and he’s still on the prowl for more victims as we speak. And if this thread was locked 8 months ago we’d be relying on EXJW Reddit for the approved scoop on him.

He’d be even more abusive and with his war chest still intact he’d be hiring an Australian lawyer to harass Kim and a UK one for Marc and Cora, an American one for Mike/Kim and Joel. Fuck that, I’m leaving out the rat traps.

From the Andrew Gold Interview April 14 2022 , Lloyd Evans said about Thailand ,and I quote : I dated a sex-worker.

He not only admitted he was dating a sex worker to Andrew Gold, but also to @ThaiPleasures:

“Seeing” one meant “dating” one and he’s clear that he didn’t pay for sex. So he stepped off the aeroplane and soon after that met and was dating a local woman romantically who also happened to be a sex worker.

I’m guessing they saw each other on her night off? Did she meet Lloyd, decide he was worth pursuing and applied for and received time off from her trafficker boss? If she were freelance, she chose to miss out on a week’s worth or more of pay so she could date Lloyd?

Lloyd is quick to paint everyone who says he went to Thailand and paid for sex as a liar. He does this for a reason: to wriggle his way out of the scandal and claim he is not compromised as a CSA advocate. However, his Facebook post on 3 February 2022 contradicts his claim:

Suffice to say, not that its anyone’s business but of those I met in Thailand, sex workers or otherwise…

Notice the plural form of “sex worker”. This was a carefully crafted statement that had all the paragraphs numbered, so it wasn’t some typo. He admitted something here that he didn’t mean to admit: There was more than one sex worker, which calls into question the statement he made to Andrew Gold.

He’d have to have dated more than one sex worker during his month on holiday in Thailand. Dating one romantically is preposterous enough, but more than one? Like any clumsy liar, he can’t keep his story straight.

As he said at the end of the livestream, let the audience adjudicate.

For my part I would like to paraphrase a famous quote from Soviet dissident Alexander Solzhenitsyn:

Evans is not a pleasant person and not afraid to show his unpleasant side, even to people who are rooting for him.

This has been his calling card all the way back to his “cedars” days on this forum. People began to preface every reference to him with a boilerplate “you do outstanding work, your posts are immensely valuable, but I disagree…”. Once he sees the word “disagree” or “but”, it triggers within him a self defence mechanism that is itself quite aggressive.

He’s thrives off his perceived “gotcha” moments. He was waiting for someone, especially Kim or one of the M7 to fuck up. When Jake did, he had a Bible verse ready for him. He could have kept it subtle but he wanted the full kill. All it did was expose him further. I imagine it was intended as a lesson for Jake’s followers or other critics, but it actually just highlighted why people despise him in the first place. Lloyd thinks this is just about an extra-marital affair and had it had been so, going after Jake wouldn’t have gone so wrong for him.

If you want to know what Lloyd just did, go look up those YouTube videos of people trying to to stoke a fire by squirting petrol on it, only for the fire to follow it back to the source and blow up.

What did he need an initial print of 100 copies for?

They were advance copies and he sold several hundred.

By getting this book launched in January 2017 (or possibly earlier) there is a real chance that we can reach out to indoctrinated Jehovah's Witnesses and give them the information they need to break free of cultic undue influence.

Notice the “we”. Classic cult technique of disguising a personal profit making enterprise as something larger, cooperative and part of something a lot bigger than a man selling a memoir.

In short:
I am working with the right people, who are just as passionate about this project as I am.
I have extremely high standards for this book. I am not writing a book just for the sake of it - I want the finished article to make its mark on the planet and stand the test of time!
In the worst case scenario, I have other options for raising the needed funds. However, an Indiegogo campaign seems like the best way to let my supporters get involved and receive a special reward for their generosity.

To further answer the initial question of why, I’ll explain the zeitgeist of the late 2016/early 2017 period. Lloyd and his associates (that would include Mark O’Donnell) were plugging this project as the biggest thing since Ray Franz and the beginning of the end for WT. Notice the grandiose language above such as “making its mark on the planet” like it was ripped from a Scientology brochure.

It also “made its mark” by describing blue balls, hiding erections in field service and humping Christmas trees. This is why aliens refuse to communicate with us.

Hundreds of people fell for this bullshit. 400+ still do. WT took your money when you were in. Lloyd Evans seeks to take your money on the way out as some sort of sick exit tax or Islamic jizya.

It’s despicable and fraudulent, yet to this day, after everything he did and said to insult exJWs as having a cult mindset in opposing him, the lawsuits and constant threats, he’s still doing it.

But nowhere near as effectively as he did a year ago. It was a good year. On to 2023. Happy New Year.

Has he ever demonstrated that he has any artistic or design skills whatsoever? Or has he always got other people to contribute their work instead?

He didn’t even design the cover of The Reluctant Apostate and was going to hire that Jason Palmer guy to paint a portrait of him for his next book. (Side note - why does he need his portrait painted for a book cover? Is he Stalin? Mao? Saddam? Is his face going on currency?). Here’s a snippet from his indigogo campaign for TRA:

The “friend” was Arthur Weber, his Romanian partner in crime who was publishing all those pirated copies of COC for him. And if you know anything about Arthur, you know he didn’t charge Lloyd $500 for the cover which consisted of his ugly face covering 70% of it.

So yes, “art school grad” and “graphic designer” Lloyd Evans was (to borrow a line from Kim) “too busy” to design a simple cover I could have cooked up for him in an hour or so on Photoshop.

It’s hilarious how he accounts for everything right down to the last detail like fuel to pick up the books and money to cover what indiegogo and PayPal would take from his campaigns. It paints a picture of a man who strongly felt he shouldn’t have to go out of pocket for any of it even though he profited and it essentially launched his career.

He asked for $1470 for the cost of printing TRA. He raised over $20,000 USD. See how that works? Like the Kingdom Hall fund - donated supplies and free volunteer labour, WT spends very little on the actual KH and pockets the rest.

You cannot get a general arts degree in two years in the UK. Diploma, yes. Not a degree.

I think he said “degree”, I’d have to re-check. He wrote TRA with his majority American audience in mind and adopted their spellings, particular wordings and idioms. In American English, diploma tends to mean the document itself which says you have graduated whilst degree encompasses the whole experience in attending and graduating from college. “I’m getting my degree” means you are currently attending. “I’m getting my diploma” tends to elicit an “oh when is the ceremony?” response.

He also had both parents approve of his going to college, so choosing a poor study is all on him though he tried to blame it on JWs.

Then he moves to Croatia and is forced to live with his in-laws which screams to me there was no money.

He even admitted they were living way beyond their means. First they lived in some sort of basement flat, then a JW graciously let them rent a a house or townhouse their son was vacating for below the market price. Dijana still had English limitations so she was stuck doing au pair and other odd jobs which didn’t require a whole lot of communication. He seemed to be in and out of work as well with no stable job history.

This explains some of the motivation to move to Croatia but they were still moving to an isolated village with no real job prospects for her and especially him. They seemed to have a good arrangement in the UK where they at least had a good shot at pulling in something. And he wasn’t disfellowshipped.

But they had to flee for some reason and like NOW.

Did they get kicked out by their JW landlord because they knew the truth of what had happened?

Most of the problem is he never worked in the real world. He never had to work in an office and understand the sociodynamics of professional relationships

Actually he did work in the real world, at least according to his book. He related that he received a practically useless generic art degree and could not find any related employment. So he signed up for a series of temp jobs in offices, such as filing clerk, mailroom, etc. When his translation business website was still up, he claimed he worked in a legal office in an attempt to claim expertise in the legal field. But per his book, they were generally entry level data entry clerical work type jobs.

His name was also listed as a co-owner with his former brother-in-law’s lawn care business in Wilmslow. Whether he handled the business side of things, actually did the dirty work, or was just on the paperwork is anyone’s guess.

But I have a feeling that this business relationship with his sister’s side of the family coupled with his domineering and greedy personality likely played a role in his inactive and politically involved sister refusing to speak to him to this day.

I think he really wanted to either deny it or minimize it into nothing

Simon had earlier made an astute observation that Lloyd has a habit of confessing to a lesser crime to avoid the consequences of the bigger one he actually committed. I think the shock of getting exposed, his drunkenness, and the fact that there’s really no way of spinning the fact of regularly seeing prostitutes for a period of time contributed to his pause. So “3-4 years” was definitely him trying to minimise it. It probably started round the time his activism took off and he was flying round the world without his family. The period of 2014 - 2016 was likely when it started. Also his use of dating apps was carefully omitted from the livestream though the leaked emails to Dijana set forth a deal that he would come off the dating apps in exchange for continuing to see sex workers.

He claimed the sex worker thing was actually comparatively “good” because he did not cheat on his wife with his heart. But I don’t believe it considering the source and his pathetic attempt to validate himself. I believe he played the “wealthy foreigner” role on Croatian dating apps and likely met a few who were interested in relocating to the UK and elsewhere. He also probably met some on his British trips, possibly some long term partners from before his marriage. Likely played the “away on business in Croatia” card with his partners there.

They thought they were meeting Han Solo but were actually having a curry with Jabba the Hutt. Thus the pivot to sex workers.

My point is he seemed a bit too eager to confess to seeing sex workers and was fine with saying 3-4 years. He had a lot more to hide and you can take it to the bank that he had cheated with his heart as well. The minimisation was that they were only sex workers, no emotional attachment and it was “only” 3-4 years.
